Michael Milchan is a partner in our Long Island office whose practice focuses primarily on the defense of complex and high exposure medical malpractice actions and nursing home cases. This includes the representation of physicians, nurses, hospitals and health care facilities, as well as health care corporate entities. Michael, likewise, has significant experience in dental malpractice claims and casualty defense matters, encompassing vehicular negligence, products liability, premises liability, construction accidents and municipal liability.

Prior to joining the firm, Michael served as a partner with two well-known medical malpractice defense firms, being responsible for the management and supervision of a large volume of medical malpractice actions. Earlier, Michael was a senior associate with a midsize Manhattan law firm, handling all aspects of medical malpractice and general negligence claims. While in law school, Michael served as an intern to Nassau Surrogate Radigan, as well as the Honorable Zelda Jonas of Supreme Court, Nassau County. Michael also has extensive experience in airline security, having served as the Assistant Director of security for El-Al Airlines in Miami, FL.

Michael was admitted to practice law in the State of New York in 1996. He is also admitted in the United States District Court for the Southern District.

Michael Milchan received his Juris Doctor degree with cum laude honors from Touro College, Jacob Fuchsberg Law Center, in 1995. He earned his Bachelor’s of Arts in Hospitality Management. He was a member of the Moot Court Board and received an award for the best brief in the school’s competition. Michael was a semi-finalist in the School’s Moot Court oral argument competition.  Michael is also an active member of the New York State Trial Lawyer Association, the New York State Bar Association and the New York State Medical Defense Bar Association.
