Gunjan Persaud is an associate attorney in the Garden City office who practices in the areas of medical malpractice defense and general liability defense. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Persaud specialized in defending clients in personal injury lawsuits. Ms. Persaud has several years of experience in representing clients in civil litigation matters and handling cases from inception through settlement or trial preparation including handling pleadings, discovery compliance, varying court appearances, conducting and defending depositions, drafting various dispositive motions, settlement negotiations, and providing clients with case analysis and strategy.

Ms. Persaud earned her Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University in 2019 and her bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in 2016.  While in law school, Ms. Persaud was a writer and copy editor of the Pace Law Newspaper Hearsay and participated in the Environmental Litigation Clinic. In law school, Ms. Persaud also had various internships and gained experience in handling in-house legal issues, contracts, and GDPR compliance at a start-up technology company, handling FOIL/FOIA requests, legal research on employment law and employee misconduct and experience with treatment courts that provide rehabilitation as an alternative to incarceration for those dealing with substance abuse. Ms. Persaud is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and is pending licensing in the State of Texas.
