Vigorito, Barker, Porter & Patterson, LLP launches new technology initiatives for enhanced client service and support.

Vigorito, Barker, Patterson, Nichols and Porter, LLP, a premier litigation firm, has upgraded its technology resources to enhance client service and has set the stage for further expansion.  What began as a boutique practice in 2015 with five attorneys has grown to a firm of nearly sixty.  VBP&P’s experienced trial attorneys have taken more than 800 verdicts.

The firm concentrates in the defense of medical negligence, construction and labor law, commercial litigation, general liability claims and health care law, and serves as lead counsel in significant litigation on behalf of the largest insurance and medical entities.

Growing the firm with Technology

As a start-up firm, VBP&P’s experienced partners knew the value of technology to support and accelerate the firm’s goal of providing optimal legal services.  Data security and client privacy were top priorities, as was cost reduction.  By way of video conferencing, real time calendaring, and encrypted electronic file sharing, costs to clients would be reduced. In the courtroom, VBP&P envisioned utilizing technology to deliver their client’s messages in a compelling and persuasive manner.

To facilitate these goals, VBP&P became one of the first in its field to fully adopt and utilize cloud technology.   The firm contracted with a leading cloud solutions provider with significant experience in supporting high-growth law practices.

The addition of an IT Manager, Ed Camp, solidified VBP&P’s position as a law firm that can offer efficient, leading-edge technology to both clients and employees of the firm.  Understanding the firm’s growth potential, Mr. Camp evaluated and reviewed the existing infrastructure.  Since joining the firm, he has ushered in a host of technological improvements, including business intelligence software, barcoding programs, video conferencing, and real-time IT support for staff.  In August of 2017, VBP&P greatly increased its cloud capacity to accommodate the firm’s growing needs, improving productivity, stability and security.   These initiatives have also fostered VBP&P’s commitment to operate in an environmentally friendly manner, minimizing the use of paper.
