VBPP Senior Partner, Alfred Vigorito served as a panelist for the Schwartz Rounds held at Westchester Medical Center

On November 29th, 2017, Senior Partner, Alfred Vigorito served as a panelist for the Schwartz Rounds held at Westchester Medical Center. The event was attended by 200 medical professionals.

Created in Boston, Massachusetts in 1995, the Schwartz Rounds were established by Healthcare Attorney, Ken Schwartz. The program originates from the Schwartz Center for Compassionate Healthcare which provides caregivers an opportunity to talk about the complex human issues they face in caring for patients. It offers a structured forum where all clinical and non-clinical staff can come together to discuss the emotional and social aspects of working in healthcare. The Schwartz Center is the only national nonprofit organization dedicated to nurturing patient-caregiver relationships.

At the event, Mr. Vigorito discussed the important topic of television media and its effect on patient expectations relative to hospitals and physicians.
