Kevin D. Porter recently lectured on the topic of legal and regulatory aspects of practice before the Office of Professional Medical Conduct (OPMC) at St. Francis Hospital.  Attendees included risk managers and administrators participating in the ASHRM New York Fall Educational Conference.  Subjects included the interview process and preparation for testimony at hearings.  The seminal case of People v. Einaugler, which was reviewed nationally by Medical Economics and the New York Times, was discussed as an example of the complexities involved in handling matters before the OPMC.
