Jeffrey R. Nichols serves as a managing partner with the firm. His practice is devoted to medical malpractice defense, nursing home litigation, general liability defense and health care matters. He has represented major hospitals systems, individual physicians, nursing homes and various professionals in cases for more than twenty-six years. Mr. Nichols has tried numerous cases to successful disposition in Queens, Nassau, New York, Richmond and Kings Counties. He has prepared many appellate briefs and argued before the New York State Appellate Division. Mr. Nichols has also lectured at a number of the firm’s hospital clients on risk management issues and participated in Grand Rounds lectures.

Mr. Nichols graduated from Hofstra University in 1991 and obtained his Juris Doctor Degree at Albany Law School at Union University in 1994, where he was a member of the Albany Law Review. He is licensed to practice law in the United States District Court, Southern District of New York, the U.S. Court of Appeals, 2nd Circuit and the State of New Jersey. Mr. Nichols is co-author of Bifurcation of Medical Malpractice Trials, published in the New York State Bar Journal in 1998.

Mr. Nichols also serves on the Board of Directors of C the Difference: Cory Cares, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization made up of teen volunteers helping to fight hunger issues on Long Island.
