William Gagas is a Partner  in our Garden City office.  Throughout his career, Bill has represented small and large businesses, property owners, physicians, engineers, architects, and other professionals and individuals in numerous areas of civil litigation, including medical malpractice, professional liability, commercial litigation, creditor’s rights, bankruptcy, employment law, construction and labor law, premises liability and other general liability matters.   Mr. Gagas is also an accomplished appellate advocate, having briefed and argued dozens of appeals before the state and federal courts of New York and Massachusetts, and several other jurisdictions.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Gagas worked at the New York City office of a national law firm, specializing in commercial litigation and creditor’s rights, and a New York City based defense firm, handling dozens of medical malpractice, construction defect, labor law and general liability matters.  Bill has also worked at a plaintiff’s law firm in Boston, MA, where he handled numerous high profile cases, including legal malpractice, and commercial litigation cases. 

Mr. Gagas is admitted to practice before the Courts of the States of New York and Massachusetts, the First Circuit Court of Appeals, Second Circuit Court of Appeals, United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York, and the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. He earned his Juris Doctorate cum laude from Suffolk University School of Law in 2011 and graduated from Fordham University in 2007 with a degree in Business Administration. When he is not working, Bill enjoys spending time with his family, golfing and is an avid sports fan.
