Timothy P. Lewis is a Partner in the Florida office.  He is a former Traffic Homicide Investigator who has investigated thousands of traffic crashes, as well as, a former Detective in the Organized Crime, Vice and Narcotics Unit of the Palm Beach Police Department.  Tim also worked for the United States Customs Service conducting drug interdiction and human trafficking investigations into the United States.  He graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a B.A. degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Business and the University of Notre Dame Law School in 1999.  Tim’s practice and trial experience has been defending companies from General Liability claims throughout the State of Florida. Those claims involved catastrophic traffic crashes, construction accidents and defects, legal and medical malpractice claims, including nursing home negligence with many of those claims involving wrongful death actions. He has traveled extensively throughout the United States, Canada, Europe and Central America in defense of those actions. Tim has successfully tried dozens of cases throughout Florida. Several of those cases involved traumatic brain injuries and wrongful death claims. 

Tim also handles D&O Claims throughout the state of Florida for Condominium Associations, HOAs and POAs.  He has defended claims against a POA Architectural Review Committee for construction and business delays, claims by subcontractors against HOAs, ADA discrimination claims against an HOA, misappropriation claims against directors and many other claims that arise in association related activities.

Tim is a member of the Florida Bar, the United States Supreme Court Bar, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta, Georgia, the United States District Courts for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida and the Palm Beach County Bar. Tim is also a member of the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado and he also serves on the Board of Trustees for two charitable foundations in Florida and Washington, D.C.
