Joseph P. Muscarella is a Partner and practices in the areas of medical malpractice defense and general liability defense. Prior to joining VBPNP, Mr. Muscarella served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Queens County District Attorney’s Office. As an Assistant District Attorney, Mr. Muscarella served in the Trial Division. He prosecuted and investigated a wide array of felony cases, including attempted murder, kidnapping, burglary and gun possession. Mr. Muscarella refined his litigation skills and gained invaluable courtroom experience serving as lead counsel in numerous felony trials and hearings.
Mr. Muscarella graduated law school from St. John’s University School of Law in 2015. While in law school, Mr. Muscarella was a member of the Polestino Trial Advocacy Institute, where he competed and won several mock trial competitions around the country. Mr. Muscarella has also served as an adjunct professor in trial advocacy at St. John’s University School of Law where he taught trial advocacy techniques to law students to prepare them to compete in regional and national mock trial competitions. Mr. Muscarella is admitted to practice law in the State of New York, and in United States District Court of the Eastern District of New York and the Southern District of New York.
