Emeka K. Thomas is an associate at VBPNP in the Westchester office. Prior to joining VBPNP, Mr. Thomas interned with New York State Homes and Community Renewal, where he worked with both the Housing and Finance Agency and the Office of Economic Opportunity and Partnership Development. During his time at HCR, Mr. Thomas worked closely with the Labor Standards and Compliance Manager, specifically on Davis Bacon Compliance on Federal housing projects.
Mr. Thomas attended the St. John’s University School of Law, where he graduated in 2019. During his time at the University, Mr. Thomas, a Ron Brown Scholar, further cultivated his interests in equality and civil rights, while fostering social justice conscious legal perspectives that he used to inform his studies. Before beginning law school, Mr. Thomas graduated from the University at Albany, where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, with a minor in Africana Studies. Mr. Thomas’ admission to practice law in the State of New York is currently pending.
