Douglas Rockitter is an associate at the Long Island office of VBPNP. While pursuing his legal education, Mr. Rockitter served as a judicial intern for Justice Peter J. O’Donoghue of the Queens Supreme Court Medical Malpractice Conference and Trial Part, drafting legal opinions, conducting legal research, and attending conferences. Prior to that, he served as a judicial intern for Justice John J. Leo of the Suffolk County Supreme Court, drafting legal opinions, conducting legal research, and attending conferences. Mr. Rockitter was also a summer law clerk at a litigation defense firm, where he assisted attorneys in court at preliminary conferences, compliance conferences, depositions, and reviewed and analyzed legal issues. Prior to law school, Mr. Rockitter worked as a paralegal.
Mr. Rockitter graduated from the City University of New York (CUNY) School of Law in 2018, where he worked for the law school’s in-house legal clinic, Main Street Legal Services, and was responsible for the interviewing and processing of indigent clients for pro bono legal representation.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English at Long Island University/C.W. Post in 2012. Mr. Rockitter is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and in United States District Court of the Eastern District of New York. He is also admitted to practice law in the State of Minnesota.
