Nicole Callahan focuses her practice on the representation of physicians, hospitals, and nursing homes in medical malpractice and negligence actions in both state and federal court. Prior to joining VBPNP, Ms. Callahan worked for medical malpractice and premises liability defense firms, as well as a boutique firm specializing in intellectual property law, where her practice focused on the pharmaceutical and chemical arts and medical devices.
Ms. Callahan earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Neuroscience, from Lehigh University in 1995, a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from The Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in 2000, and a J.D. from Pace University School of Law in in 2003. Her graduate thesis work focused on the effect of stress-related hormones and neurotransmitters on the immune response to Herpes Simplex Virus infection. She has several articles published in peer-reviewed journals relating to her research.
