Jeffrey R. Nichols is the managing partner of our Garden City office. He practices in the areas of medical malpractice defense, nursing home litigation, personal injury defense and health care matters. He has represented major hospitals systems, individual physicians and nursing homes in malpractice cases over the course of his 23 years in practice. Mr. Nichols has tried numerous cases in Queens, Nassau, New York, Richmond and Kings Counties. He has prepared numerous appellate briefs and argued before the New York State Appellate Division. Mr. Nichols has also lectured at a number of the firm’s hospital clients on risk management issues and participated in Grand Rounds lectures.
Mr. Nichols graduated from Hofstra University in 1991 and obtained his Juris Doctor Degree at Albany Law School at Union University in 1994, where he was a member of the Albany Law Review. He is licensed to practice law in the United States District Court, Southern District of New York and the U.S. Court of Appeals, 2nd Circuit. Mr. Nichols is co-author of Bifurcation of Medical Malpractice Trials, published in the New York State Bar Journal in 1998.
Mr. Nichols also serves on the Board of Directors of C the Difference: Cory Cares, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization made up of teen volunteers helping to fight hunger issues on Long Island.
