Christopher Whitton manages and litigates a diverse range of complex civil claims in the areas of transportation, premises, construction, product and general liability, as well as medical malpractice. He has been retained by numerous commercial trucking companies, retail chains, property owners and insurance companies to defend high-exposure bodily injury and wrongful death actions. Mr. Whitton has tried numerous matters in both Federal and State courts to jury verdict, securing favorable outcomes for his clients. His experience enables him to closely advise and guide his clients through the course of litigation.
Prior to joining VBPNP, Mr. Whitton practiced at a highly regarded personal injury defense firm. He began his legal career as an assistant district attorney with the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office following graduation from Fordham University School of Law in 1993. He received his B.A., magna cum laude, from Manhattan College in Riverdale, NY.
Mr. Whitton resides in Dutchess County with his wife and four children. He has spent time volunteering with the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts of America, and assists in the organizing of an annual golf outing to raise funds for those in need through his local church.
