Adam S. Covitt is a member of the firm, specializing in the defense of hospitals, nursing homes and physicians at all stages of litigation, from inception through trial, in both state and federal court. He also represents clients in general liability matters, criminal investigations and matters before the Office of Professional Medical Conduct.

A former senior trial attorney at the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office, Mr. Covitt served in the Office’s prestigious Homicide Bureau and was appointed Deputy Bureau Chief of the Criminal Court Bureau.

Mr. Covitt is involved in various leadership roles in his community. He is the Village Prosecutor for the Village of Kensington in Great Neck and serves on the Board of Trustees of Temple Israel of Great Neck.

Mr. Covitt graduated cum laude from the University at Albany in 1996 and earned his Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School in 1999. As an undergraduate, Mr. Covitt studied abroad at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Mr. Covitt is admitted in the States of New York and Connecticut.
